ABOUT JOEL BLUE PELLICANÒ

In the vast universe of art, I have found my path through cinema and photography. I am Joel Blue Pellicanò, an adventurer who explores the nuances of light and the hidden stories it can tell.
My artistic journey has seen unforgettable moments. In 2019, I had the honor of winning the National Geographic World Contest with a photograph that captured “The Art of Making Pasta.” This work was selected as one of the 27 images representing global culinary culture, a milestone that strengthened my passion and talent.
In the following two years, my photographs continued to shine on Your Shot, the online platform of National Geographic. The emotions captured through the lens found space in the world of high fashion, with a feature in Vogue Italia.
My education led me to graduate in Graphics and Communication from ITT PANELLA VALLAURI school in my hometown in 2021.
Collaborating with the renowned photographer Antonio Pellicanò opened up new artistic horizons. Together, we worked on extraordinary projects such as “Resilience,” “Richard the Lord of Fashion,” “Interior Profile,” “Echo Ecology,” and “Plastic Sea.”
2022 was a memorable year: my work was selected in the Run for Art Contest by the Giulio Onesti Rome Foundation. This led to the publication of my works in a book and exhibitions at prestigious venues like the Biltmore Hotel in Miami and the International Mugham Center in Baku.
My project “Off the Beaten Path” made a successful debut in 2022, with two exhibitions in the vibrant city of Valencia, Spain.
2023 has been a year of recognition, with my shortlisting in the prestigious Sony Award. I was also honored by the “Vecinema” association with an invitation to hold a conference on two of my short films at “La Fabrica de Hielo,” a socio-cultural center in Valencia, Spain.
My education has just been completed with a Master’s degree in Filmmaking from Barreira Arte school in Valencia, in collaboration with the Experimental Center of Cinematography in Rome.
Beyond my artistic experiences, I have also worked in the commercial sector, managing the visual aspects of the Arena hotel in Valencia. I have collaborated with professionals in the events and weddings industry in Italy and Spain.
In this artistic journey, I am ready to share my passion, creativity, and dedication with those who share my thirst for exploration and discovery. My story is ever-evolving, and I look forward to embracing new adventures.
